The Entrepreneur's Forum
a budding entrepreneurs chance
to polish the "pitch" and publicize
the company to the public.
At previous regular CVF meetings, one entrepreneur
was selected through a competitive screening
process to present her or his company to the
CVF audience. Though not specifically designed
to be a funding event, the Entrepreneur's Forum
is a great way for entrepreneurs to practice
telling their pitch to investors and other entrepreneurs.
Please note: The Entrepreneur's Forum was suspended in 2003.
Presenters will receive specific feedback for
improving their presentation from selected investors.
Prospective presenters are encouraged to read
our FAQ.
Application Criteria
The proposed investment opportunity must be
fundable by angel and venture capital standards.
This means that the opportunity must address
a substantial market (e.g. the overall market
exceeds $500 million annually), and the opportunity
should represent an ability to maintain a proprietary
technology position (preferred, not required).
The opportunity must also provide for clear
entrance and exit by investors. The proposed
investment opportunity must demonstrate high
growth potential in a technology business, such
as greater than $30 million annually in net
revenue within 5 years. The products and/or
services defined in the opportunity must address
national and global markets.
The entrepreneur application must have a business
plan and provide an Executive Summary of the
business opportunity including the following
information:

addressing in terms of dollars;
A description of the proposed
products and/or services;
A description of the revenue generating
business model;
